The Next Food Network Star?

Watch out Paula, Ina, Giada, Rachael and Bobby! Eryn had all of her ingredients lined up and waiting to start the pumpkin bread. This is the third year she has helped me with this recipe, and she loves that each year she gets to "do more of the steps." I overheard her saying, "Sorry Paige, you will have to wait until you are 3 to help mom!"

Soccer 2008

Eryn played soccer this fall through our church's Upward Soccer program. This was her first time to ever touch a soccer ball, and she loved it. She was very unsure in the beginning, but by the second game she was playing her little heart out. She did score one goal, and almost scored for the other team. (She's not too sure which goal her team is trying to reach yet!) It was quite entertaining to watch the games... there was some drama at times, along with grass picking, and not to mention walking off the field to get a drink or a hug.
I would have to say it was a success; she got lots of exercise, made some good friends, gained more self confidence, and learned a little about the game!
Way to go Eryn, you did a great job!

"The Toughest Two Minutes In Sports"

Well, not quite down to two minutes, but it's a start! Steven set a goal of competing in the Scott's Firefighter Combat Challenge and he and partner S.J. made it happen! They ran a tandem in Altus, OK and a tandem plus individual races in Tyler. They did great! I can't wait for next season!
